Severn Trent Water Contributes £5,000 to the Whitworth

We want to express our sincere thanks to the Severn Trent Water Recovery Fund for their contribution of £5,000 towards the Whitworth Centre's Covid-19 restart plan.

The Severn Trent Water fund is focused on helping Charities that work to try to improve community well-being. The main role of the Whitworth is to support the well being of local people, so there was obviously a clear fit with the objectives of the fund.

The £500,000 fund (details here) was created by Severn Trent Water for Charities and non-profit organisations which have struggled for funding through the coronavirus pandemic. The money is part of the company’s £1m emergency fund, created back in March to help support communities and organisations around the Midlands through the pandemic.

This will support our intention for a progressive reopening of the Centre which is the subject of current detailed planning.
