We are delighted to welcome Paul Taylor as General Manager of the Whitworth Centre.
Paul has a breadth of experience operating as a General Manager across a range of venues. These include commercial West End theatres, commercial regional theatres and charitable heritage sites. Throughout his experience at these destination venues he has worked on offering an enhanced visitor experience, developing a food and beverage offering and the provision of festivals and events.
Whilst working at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre he developed the catering provision and brought it in-house, developing a vibrant and successful informal cafe and also a fine dining experience. He successfully increased revenue by utilising the assets of the venue for private hires, weddings and large scale events.
Paul has developed and programmed festivals at venues. These have included ‘From Page to Stage,’ a festival that featured speakers such as Sheila Hancock, David Walliams, Paul O’Grady and Kathy Lette.
He has a passion for people, whether visitors, customers or his team.
He has always had a keen interest in theatre and can quite often be found watching all kinds of performances, professional and amateur.
